IMPORTANT UPDATE NOTICE ABOUT
OUR WEBSITE:
I am Not adding any new images to the specific
group galleries
(i.e. Hummingbirds, Owls, Shorebirds, etc.)
until I complete getting ALL the individual SPECIES web pages completed.
I am finally almost done (working on just a few select species I need to scan
slides from)
after completing everything "A" thru the "Y" (Yellowthroat) species into their individual
SPECIES web pages.
Use the "IMAGE
LIST" link to search the species you want to view.
Because of this the
"GALLERIES" web pages are becoming more and
more out of date.
One last note. Many bird websites show those beautiful and "pretty"
pictures,
I've attempted to lean toward images of any particular
species
which gives more
of a 'learning' experience by showing species as they are MOST often seen.
How often have you seen a species from behind, from below, etc.?
They are not Always sitting perfectly sideways with the sun shining on them
perfectly in breeding plumage!
That has been my focus on this website.

A special note: Those who do photography and a website, especially taking
literally thousands of images,
realize the painstaking time involved in not just obtaining their
images, but the post processing
of them and placing them on a website. What you see on this site
has taken me over 40 years
of hard work. But that is only what is behind me. At any one
moment there are many thousands
of recently taken images which need to be worked and placed on the site.
This site has gone through
many updates over the past 15 years however 80% of the images are from
the "old" days of film and
bad resolution monitors to attempt to scan and process acceptable
images to post on the site.
Directly below is a link to the most recent images (mostly new, with a
few past improvements) which
are remarkably better due mostly in part from digital cameras and post
processing. For those wishing
only to see the "prettiest" of images, click on NEWEST IMAGES link.
For those looking for
all the species images (over 1,100 species now), go to the galleries and see them
all, old and new.
Thx for taking the time to read this!!!
